  1. I want to cross Brydon for the first time but am but anxious as my freeman 27 won’t go more that 6mph with the tide. The low tide for this Monday is 450 which means I need to get to all the bridges going north about 540 ish? My question is how far could I get and where could I moor? 2. Hello We are planning our first overnight on our new boat. We can only get time for one night at the moment so my question is where would you recommend we go where there is a nice pub to moor. We are based in Brundall. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  3. I need to measure it and work out what size has been put on. Would your camera be able to help with that? Not sure it would. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  4. Hi My yard charges about £270 for a pull out. I just want to look at the propeller and was wondering if anyone knew a cheaper alternative. Thanks Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  5. Advice needed about whether you think it’s important to be able to stand in the cockpit. I’m considering a Freeman 27 with a half fixed roof above the cockpit. I’m 6 foot 1 and have to stoop when In The cockpit. I can stand in the galley easily - it’s a great boat and ticks all the boxes except I can’t stand in the cockpit and the roof doesn’t come off but as I’m finding there always seems to be one niggle and the perfect boat doesn’t exist. Have any tall people any experience of this? Thanks in advance. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  6. I really need advice. I’m in the process of buying my first boat and have seen a really nice Freeman 27 but it won’t go under the bridges above. Is this a deal breaker and do you think I should opt for one that does? Would I miss much if I couldn’t ? Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  7. Hi Maurice Which boatyard at Potter Heigham?
  8. Hi All I have just joined this forum and apologies if this is similar to a recent post but I am looking at getting a cruiser. I have little knowledge but have found that reasing the threads on here really helpful. I still have one or 2 questions. I am after a Freeman 27 or Elysian 27 or similar. For the most part there will just be 2 of us boating but it would be nice to have guests/family for a few nights too. I discounted the stylish sports cruiser on the basis that I think I would like a balance of outdoor and indoor space so am going for a more traditional boat but not one of the low ones, like a safari. I have decided on the following; Diesel Shaft drive Sea toilet (?) Ability to go under all bridges Shore power Apart from that I have no other clue as to what I need. I am 6 foot 1 so need to be able to stand fairly straight esp in the cockpit with the canopy up. We are complete newbie boat owners so would welcome any advice. Should I go for a aft or mid cockpit for example. Also what aspects would you say are your non negotiables learnt over time. Thanks in advance. Chris
