I have been to China and trust me they will eat anything and I mean anything (can't find a sick emoji). I asked one guy why they eat chickens feet, he said they believe the closer to the bone the sweeter the meat I replied HOW MUCH MEAT is there on a chickens foot.

And then really annoy customers who have already booked a holiday in October, then see massive discounts being offered.

We moored in the Norfolk broads direct marina last week and really struggled to find a spot. The carpark side was packed with their boats as were all the other sections. We managed to scrape a spot down where they do the pump outs but had to leave before 8. Barns Brinkcraft looked the same.

Ah, but you will be home when I'm still there

We were hoping to get up to Coltishall but the low water times don't look favourable. Luckily the air draft is only 6f 5in so will give the bridge pilot a ring next weekend to see what are the earliest we mite be able to get under and back.

Adventuring light 3 from Herbert woods.

5 more sleeps and we will be back for a week, can't wait. Hopefully just timed it right for the mini heatwave

Managed to catch the recording last night very interesting. More so as it was on the broads

Would it be possible for the author of the previous weeks quiz to post the questions and answers so we can all have a look.

Not inferring anything just a question

After being out on Evening light 2 in October and seeing the condensation on the boat it got me thinking when I was looking on the barns and Herbert wood webcams. Seeing all the boats back at the yards, how on earth do they control the condensation on them all or do they just not bother.

Well we decided to defer our holiday in September to next year (again 2nd time). Luckily we have managed to get Evening Light 2 for the 9th October ( same boat that we had in June). Looking forward to it fingers crossed for the weather it was superb in June. 2nd trip this year third overall and already booked for June next year. Getting the feeling it would be cheaper to become an owner 🤔
-
I did exactly that this June in a 30ft boat. The wind made it a difficult job turning around at the end. And don't get me started about the bloody day boats getting in the way when you are trying to get moored up in the wind with other boats on both sides of the dyke

We didn't have any issues but yes it was busy. We tended to get moored up for mid afternoon and then go off walking or drinking

Well we have just got back from what can only be described as a stunning week on the north broads. This was our second visit and we have already booked our third in June next year. The boat Evening Light 2 was spot on and a big thanks to Herbert Wood’s, they have come in for a bit of criticism on trip advisor but our experience was overall very good. Hand over could have been a bit quicker but we were not going anywhere on the Saturday evening due to the three rivers race. We managed to get under Wroxham bridge this year and had a lovely night in Coltishall (this was our longest trip Barton Turf to Coltishall). It’s going to seem like a long wait till next year.

We arrive for a week this Saturday 5th. Was really hoping to get through on Evening light 2 but not looking good. High hopes for Wroxham and Wayford though

Would You Come On A Boating Holiday If The Pubs Are Closed?
PAULG replied to JennyMorgan's topic in Broads Chat
Yes definitely, the weight of the cans and bottles might even get me under Potter heigham bridge would have to be careful not to drink that much I could not get back -
I am enjoying it all great info and conversation. Looks like it will be this or this

Sounds like a plan. We came across a few this year no problem. I had the vision of it just being rammed with them. we don’t pick the boat up while Saturday afternoon.
