There are some BA moorings up there but I believe they are limited. Mooring at the boatyard moorings are about £15 a night. There are some free moorings at Dilham too.

Oh dear, still have not got out on the boat this year. What is this weather doing? I am not very good with very hot weather so anything over 25 degrees is a no no and dangerous for me due to health reasons, and what else have we had? Yep, wind, rain dull miserable skies. Hopefully after the August Bank Holiday when the World and its duck will be out on the water I will stir into action. The weather is usually a bit more settled in September and virtually no mozzies. So it will probably be just a couple of weeks this year when I have been used to six to eight weeks a year on the water on various waterways.

Its something that loads of young people go to (not for us) and listen to deafening what is believed to be music, but that is somewhat to be debated, and jump up and down screaming with their hands in the air which is now polluted with every virus imaginable.

I have an old phone which cannot be pinged anyway. However, I am still wearing my mask in all necessary places, using the sterilising stuff on my hands and generally keeping away from crowds. With a bit of common sense and not going to raves and crowded places etc. and getting jabbed as I am we can possibly beat this virus. w

The boat is a 14 ft dayboat fitted out for basically camping on water with a cockpit canopy. The trailer is a robust custom made Indespension based trailer built over 30 years ago and into its second set of Indespension suspension units so is well maintained and the engine is an old medium powered four stroke.

The main things that get nicked on a trailered boat are the engine and the trailer if it is a decent one. If the trailer is a dog's breakfast junk heap it is and convenient and unlocked its probably worth a few coppers for scrap steel. The boat shell is a bit too traceable and not really worth much to a thief. The engines, if they are old will not realise much from insurance companies if stolen as they depreciate with age, however they will still be stolen and probably shipped abroad for sale or spares. Its your choice really, personally I insure my outfit fully comp. It only costs me around £90.

Yes, Cobra tastes good too. I am not too keen on weak wishy washy lagers though, with me a beer/lager has to have a bit of a bite to it to hit the spot.

I must admit that when at home I am partial to a couple of cans of Kronenbourg, its probably one of the better tasting lagers. Also I like to put some on the boat for when I am tied up on a wild mooring and cant get to a pub.

Is Microsoft Security Essentials still updated and supported? It was my understanding that it is now defunct. Genuine Defender can be downloaded from Microsoft's website I believe. I use Defender myself and have had no issues with it.

Nav and Gen for me. The boat is about 50 years old and they have never asked for a survey. Not that the boat and engine is in bad condition anyway.

Hi. I looked at this slipway about three years ago and it is really only suitable for dinghies, paddleboards, and kayaks. It is very rough and steep and certainly not suitable for a 20 ft boat. If you wish to launch in the Wroxham area I suggest you use Landamore's boatyard in Wroxham. The car and trailer parking is open to access by the public so make sure everything is securely locked up. Further afield is Martham Boat Building and Development Company which has a really good slipway and is reasonably priced for both slipway and parking. Also consider the Wayford Bridge Boatyard which has a decent slipway and appears to be fairly secure for parking. Hope this helps. Alpo.
