  1. I think so too, a very happy looking heron and a very nice photo of a heron, there see, sorted
  2. I wonder if the Heron minds having his picture taken, now there's a whole different debate Seriously, thank you for the explanation of what is acceptable. I completely understand the need to protect the forum, the moderators and forum members. It must be a nightmare to keep track of everything at times
  3. Agreed but that's MY mooring
  4. My parents had glass patio doors installed and one summer afternoon at a BBQ as the evening wore on my Mum closed the door to stop bugs etc when my Brothers dog decided to bound from the top of the garden straight into the closed doors, she bounced right off them, staggered around for a little while but was okay. Never did it again Lol I also managed it after a couple of glasses of wine but that's a whole different story
  5. It's brilliant the boat has been recovered, let's hope there's not too much damage and she's up and running soon
  6. I don't watch much TV either but will be watching today. It's going to be very emotional for the whole country I would imagine. A feeling of deep pride for us all too
  7. Enjoying your tales and photos very much Kate. That last photo sums it up for me, I could sit on a boat watching that view all night long
  8. I think working with children is so much easier than being a Moderator on a Forum At the end of the day the most important thing is everyone on board are safe, you can replace a boat but not people
  9. Can't think why anyone would want to shelter in Bridgestones with all that cake and wine on offer
  10. Thoroughly enjoying your holiday blog and photos, thank you for posting. Enjoy your trip, my advice for not drowning is to not set foot in the kayak, sit on the bank with a pint and watch everyone else trying not to drown instead, much safer Have a lovely time
  11. Ooops, didn't know I was being watched
  12. What's wrong with a girlie button? Helped me out more times than I care to admit when mooring
  13. Absolutely, brought a lump to my throat. So pleased the Royal family got some private time with their Mum, Grandmother and Great Grandmother at Buckingham Palace last night. She was everyone's Queen and 'Boss' but a Mother above all else. It must be difficult to grieve so publically, I would imagine last night was very precious to them.
  14. Although a time of great sadness we as a nation can feel immense pride in the way all the services have carried out their duties. Impeccable and with dignity every step of the way.
  15. She was as beautiful as she was strong, very proud to have had her as our Queen for so long. An example set to the world for sure. Goodnight Queen Elizabeth, rest in peace
