  1. Splendid idea. They don't boot you out too early either. Sounds like Ludham is running at a fairly steady 7 feet or thereabouts at the moment.
  2. That makes sense, probably why they didn't know when we asked. Usually we manage to find a corner in Faircraft Loynes yard though. Trouble is, if you're on the crane side, they close the barrier so it's quite a long walk round.
  3. Thanks Jean and hopefully get through the bridge this time in May. Don't want Mrs Nog to have to walk to Coltishall again
  4. Funnily enough we asked out of curiosity (moored in Faircraft Loynes yard) No one seemed to know. It was 10 quid many years ago. Bet it's nearer 20 now. Be interesting to know though.
  5. Aw, that's a shame, I understand. Looks like you're on the middle section? Nice quiet spot. If I was still there I'd nip up to the F and F and bring a Notfolk Nog back for you
  6. Certainly is Simon! Counting down already
  7. I always moor side on at Salhouse in the winter. Shouldn't be a problem as there are so few boats about. Fur and Feather or the Stag? Footpath a bit muddy at the mo!
  8. Lucky you! Please keep us posted. Sorry the posts are bit pub-centric but the scenic pictures don't seem the same in the rain! Must try harder in May. Forgot to mention, Bridgecraft were superb again and really helpful. Top yard
  9. Thanks M and P, and good philosophy We're back in May so counting down the days, just hope it's less damp! Raining again now, does it ever stop!
  10. Mrs Nog doesn't do things by half
  11. Bridge Inn busy and running like a well oiled machine this afternoon. Sunday roast plates piled high and going down very well
  12. I agree re the Swan. Best pub in Horning by a country mile IMHO Don't boot you out early either
  13. We seem to have found a pub!
  14. No probs through Yarmouth, 10 feet on the road bridge and barely a ripple on Breydon Water
  15. Update on, surprise, surprise ...... The Ram! Popped in on Friday afternoon. Doing a brisk trade with most in the main bar area. Three beers on, Wherry, Greene King IPA and Sharps Atlantic. Mrs Nog had her usual double and prices seemed reasonable. Sign outside proclaimed no grub at present. You would expect a pub to be busy on Friday but hopefully it will keep going. Always good to see a pub open and let's hope for good news about the New Inn.
  16. Just to let everyone know that there is a new breakfast menu at the Bridge Inn which is proving very popular. Avaliable Monday through to Saturday with Sunday roasts back on the menu too. Also special dine for £9 deals available Monday to Friday. Having been a regular visitor to the Bridge for the last 17 years I can personally vouch for the level of quality and service offered.
  17. Will do but which one is Tolly? Sorry we missed you but need to get back through Yarmouth
  18. It's beer o'clock Nice drop of Lacons too
  19. Very quiet and peaceful at Swancraft In fact it's brilliant down South, not seen any hire boats at all. In fact only a handful of private ones
  20. Your dedication to research is admirable MT sir I will make an effort to visit next time Stamford Arms is overdue for a return visit too.
  21. Hi M we're fine thanks, will keep an eye on the weather
