  1. He used to lurk on Rockland I believe. Maybe some info on Carol's site It could be bird scarers, seemed too loud for a shot gun. Certainly no ducks for Mrs Nog's corn, probably scared them away too.
  2. I suspect Ferry and Richardsons have put a limit on Stokesby. Not seen another hire craft since we've been down here. Very quiet and peaceful Anyone know what the loud bangs are over the marshes at Reedham?
  3. If anyone wants the electric at Reedham there might be a slight technical hitch Having said that it's so warm you wouldn't need it anyway. The thread title still holds good Looks like the water has been over the top at the Ship quay, never seen that before. No, it's not gin o'clock Mrs Nog, we are just waiting for the tide
  4. Good morning from muddy Reedham Levels do seem to be dropping, 9 feet under Somerleyton Very quiet on the OBYS pontoon this morning Thought I detected faint snoring but could be wrong
  5. The Butchers is an excellent pub, as is the Ingate Sadly dogs not allowed in the Caxton Club, not sure why. We are CAMRA members so get in on that pretext but they may well let you in if you ask nicely
  6. All of them. Mrs Nog worked along the shelf.
  7. Fine pub indeed not been in for a while so that's another on the list
  8. Don't worry Mr Angler sir, compared with the Ram thread this is a minor drift indeed.....
  9. Not immediately, need to think, buzz, whirr...
  10. Sunday at the latest, must get back through GY
  11. Thanks for the heads up, aiming for Beccles initially but will wander over if we get chance Do they sell any beer?
  12. Lovely mooring at Oulton Broad YS Not too sure about the neighbours though......
  13. Bit under 8 feet at both St Olaves and Somerleyton Langford Jillings certainly knew what he was doing
  14. No, I'm with you 101% there MM I don't use Facebook and wish businesses wouldn't just assume that everyone does. It's especially annoying, for example, if a pub announces it's closed on FB and you don't find out till you get there. T shirt etc Victor Meldrew 2nd
  15. Tiny bit choppy on Breydon Water but nothing to worry about. Nine feet under the bridges.
  16. The tree is still there just upstream of Salhouse Broad
  17. Good point. I had an idea that Ferry wouldn't allow it out of season but could be wrong of course.
  18. Plus at the moment none of them would get through Ludham and I assume they won't let you go through Yarmouth so they basically up and down the Bure from Stokesby to Wroxham. No wonder they seem to be everywhere!
  19. I could wax lyrical at length Simon, downside is a slightly shorter keel which could make it less easy to steer but I never had a problem with Royale. You still get the generous forward berth but basically lose the middle cabin which is very cramped anyway. Good sized saloon and galley as the 35. I always felt that the 32 seemed to slot into spaces which the 35 would be a squeeze. They packed a lot of boat into 32 feet. There's only a handful on Craig's database. Swan Radiance is the best boat I've ever hired, Royale was my favourite if that makes sense. I think even if I put Mrs Nog on singles I'd struggle to find even 17.5k lovely thought though. In some ways hire boats are like grandchildren, you can just hand them back, no worries about repairs, tolls etc. But of course like anyone else I'd jump at the chance of ownership if circumstances allowed.
  20. Ferry boats everywhere this week. Wonder if they've had an offer on. Two moored up outside now
  21. Hotel Wroxham doing a roaring trade with the Kings Head closed. Bit sniffy and only 2 beers on so the Lacons was a no brainer. Mrs Nog lapping up the gin
  22. Five six at Wroxham today Mrs Nog's corn going down very well again Water over topping Granary Staithe
