  1. All quiet at Neatishead.... for now..... Very nice fisherman moved his rod for us
  2. Aw, wish I'd known, could have given you a wave! Hope we weren't speeding
  3. For anyone who is interested Ludham showing barely 7 feet 3 inch Good job it's an Alphacraft!
  4. Aw, thanks Kate, here with you in spirit at least! Hope the paint job doesn't take too long and you'll be afloat again soon. Back with Bridgecraft again in May so I'm sure you'll be up and about by then
  5. Good comments re the cash and very fair points . I'm probably old school and do cash with everything but need to move with the times! The Swan gets the gold award for not closing early, busy too, very impressed
  6. It is a shame MM, feels like back to where we were in December. Thanks goodness for low air draught Alphacrafts! Booted out of the New Inn, luckily Swan still open. And yes, CC, London Pride well tended, apart from the froth
  7. Ah, take it from the 'green' you're not afloat KP Could have bought you a pint too When are you back?
  8. It was very well kept I have to say. I think the Swan is the best pub in Horning by some distance. Called time in New Inn (surprise, surprise) so back to the Swan
  9. Ferry accessible by foot - only just! The lane has numerous deep puddles but can be skirted with care. New Inn not kicked us out - yet.... Also using sparklers, baffled, had to ask for a top up, unheard of in Norfolk
  10. Staithe now full of fishermen Glad we got in early Be intersting to see if anyone else wants to moor up!
  11. It's beer o'clock Best ones are coming soon though
  12. Amazingly an empty Staithe at Horning bar a fisherman. Pay cash if you can folks! Support small business
  13. There was, just around the corner, an HSBC if memory serves? Not sure the Nat West didn't have one too. Assume the one in the convenience store is free to use?
  14. Indeed Think it's Greene King so no shortage of cash! Thanks for th he heads up Jean BTW, one to cross off the list
  15. It's on the Thames though. Cost a bit to transport it assuming you could lift at that end. Looks a good price though unless there's something wrong with it.
  16. The buses from Acle village run every half hour. About a half hour walk from Acle Bridge. Footpath a bit muddy in winter (been there etc)
  17. Absolutely, we should give them every support we can That's another must visit on my list. Mrs Nog's gin bill should pay the chefs wages for a while
  18. Yet another email from Hoseasons today. I don't seem to remember this amount in previous years.
  19. I would be interested to know too. We'll be down shortly so will do some investgating. I also intend to check out the Ram and we need to keep an eye on the Maltsters too. And there's the Ship at South Walsham...... Use 'em or lose 'em!
  20. Fair comment MT and as this thread started about the Ram perhaps discussion about the Waters Edge under it's new owners might prompt a new thread
  21. Not much wrong with the Ferry House. The beer quality at Coldham Hall is outstanding in my humble opinion. Not tried the grub unfortunately but if it's half as good as the beer it will be excellent
  22. Just had a browse on the NYA website. The Shadow boats are outstanding quality builds, there is one moored at Swancraft now which is a very recent build, stunning boat. Just not so keen on the canopy and the slightly higher air draught. Those ex Faircraft Loynes ones look to be twins of the Evening Lights, I bet they were all built as a batch. Either way, just need those numbers! One can dream Maybe need to persuade Mrs Nog to drink singles......
  23. I think they're a poor mans Reflection. Must check my Euromillions ticket.......
  24. Ha ha! Yes, I intend to give the local pubs my fullest support Simon and will of course report back! And I'm sure that Mrs Nog will be sampling a few large gins too No, all being well we will be aboard Humber Bridge again from the excellent Bridgecraft. Great winter boat, really cosy. Watch this space.......
