Icy across the river in Beccles now.
  3. Have you tried Richard at Snuggtopz next to the Waters Edge at Brammerton. Gets a 10 from me. https://snuggs.me.uk/en/
  4. It is the front garden, I have more expensive ornaments in there too, and quite a bit of security. the only things that have been pinched so far have been a couple of £10 plastic topiary balls hanging on the fence, she was caught on the cctv.
  5. Just got round to mounting this in place of sundial. My old prop.
  6. shocked, don't know what to say, Our thoughts are with his family too.
  7. Same here in Beccles, Was high when i arrived but dropping. Just had a walk round town and called in the Kings Head, (as you must) for tea, lovely chicken caesar salad and a glass of wine, back on boat now and it's already covered in a heavy frost. Heating on another glass of wine or too then an early night. Got some work to finish in the morning then it may be a chug to Oulton Broad for the night tomorrow.
  8. Hi Robin, I don't drink Whiskey as such, Have you tried Bulleit Bourbon? that is one of my favourites. As for Rum, Mount Gay do some really nice ones. I'll probably visit the distillary in March when we go to Barbados.. Paul. .
  9. Must have a wealthy resident then.
  10. I saw that land there last month as we travelled down the New Cut. when we passed i saw a chap walking round it talking to the 2 pilots. I'd love to know who lives there. Paul.
  11. Another good one i have used on both the car and bike. http://www.acf-50.eu/ available at lots of bike dealers, amazon and fleabay and others.
  12. Hi Alan, that was taken about 11.00 this morning. I didn't take any photo's leaving Loddon, but the works that are going on from the Hardley mooring up to Chedgrave are looking very good, it's a pity some of the Chet getting there is still very narrow in places.
  13. It does need it, was up there a couple of weeks ago. saw Ranworth Breeze moored at the Ferry Surlingham this morning. Paul, On the boat on my own for a few nights.
  14. Couldn't see my way out of Surlingham broad this morning, stayed there last night on the mud weight. Now in Norwich yacht station. A bit different to yesterday it was glorious cruising from Beccles to Surlingham all the way with the top down. might be Surlingham or Rockland tonight, Oh the decisions
  15. Going back to earlier mention of Aston's, Sophie is now up for sale. http://www.nya.co.uk/astonconcorde30-1-for-sale.html
  16. As this thread has come back, i swapped the Royal Enfield earlier this year, after nearly 3years only putting 1k on it. Lorna found it uncomfortable on the back. We saw a piaggio X10 350cc scooter for sale locally, had a topbox with backrest on, and a big comfortable seat, that did it for her. We have probably done more on that this year than ever on the bike. Took it to the boat in August for the week to run about on, here's a photo i took when we set off back home with it.
  17. I used to use it, unfortunatly they are no longer trading, it was brilliant for cleaning Upvc and fenders. http://www.ctlonline.co.uk/documents/EVM Stockists.pdf the link shows old stockists and the product. Paul.
  18. Well!! I'm looking at 3 trips to the boat in the next 8 days thats 1200 miles in the car. don't ask why
  19. Hi, it was nice to meet you all too, the boat's called Peters Joy, for people that don't know, it was called that before we bought it, also happens to be my surname. Paul.
  20. It was nice to to meet old and new friends, hope to see some of you out on the water again soon. heres a couple of shots from me.
