  1. The cutout and element are only 4 years old,David. I expect its gone pffft.
  2. Thanks for your comments one and all,i'll look at the cutout switch first.as the engine does not appear to overheat as per the gauge which holds around 80C when run for awhile.
  3. Hi,David do you mean replace the immersion coil (single in my case) or the thermal cut out.Does that not come with the coil as one piece? Is it just a case of unscrewing it and replace,i have'nt looked yet as its blerdy cold on the boat and iv'e put it to bed.But will look at it when it gets a bit warmer.Thanking you.
  4. Don't know if anyone else has this problem, when the engine is running it heats the water to a high temperature, if i moor for the night with Leccy i switch it on and it does not heat the water. Unless i take the cap off the top of the boiler tank and push the safety switch back in then it works ok. Is there a temp switch on the Calorifier to turn it up or down as it seems that it trips the switch. after running the engine for awhile.? Maybe the temp is too high which trips the switch. not a big problem just annoying i have to keep resetting it. not sure iv'e explained it right.
  5. Demise of a well healed family.feel sorry for them to a certain extent but what was he thinking of investing in land without planning permission. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/mort ... -Cole.html
  6. I am currently with BT and have been for quite some years,no problem with download speeds etc,but does anyone know if there is a better option out there ie: as regards phone/Broadband savings. I looked at Talk Talk today some quite good deals there at the moment but when i looked at the current reviews 95% were awful.citing slow download speeds, poor customer services etc.non existant help.overcharging the list goes on.Help.
  7. Now that would be catastrophic if that were to happen,The world as we know it would stop..everyone including me would be affected..
  8. Whats worrying for me and we have been on about 6 cruise ships is that it does not appear that they did a lifeboat jacket drill that same evening.we have had a drill within 2 hours of boarding the ship. So this question of hitting a reef etc does not tally up. I do not think this captain or his no 2 will get another job.
  9. Found this interesting website this morning to try and get an answer to my question. What would you like to know. http://www.trueknowledge.com/

  12. Does anyone know if its 100% secure on wifi at home?
  13. Spent last saturday night on the boat in the marina, with howling strong winds which moved the ariel perched on the roof pointing it the other way and still got a perfect picture.WOW before the changeover i would regularly lose the picture.
  14. Have not tested it lately Andy, but only 10 days ago on the southern rivers most places i got at least 60 channels on Freeview. And i have an old caravan ariel on the roof.(altho a good one) It was a case of pointing it in the right direction with no trees in front. I know most of the best reception areas down south for recieving signals and they are Cantley and Hardley mill,Bramerton woods end, Reedham and Surlingham ferry inn. WRC,Beccles and Oulton broad, New inn moorings can be pretty patchy.
