  1. Five of us went for meal just night,at 7.30 in Norfolk it was half empty in the past it would have been packed must be a sign of belt titening its not cheap ,no more.
  2. I was lucky to see that game, ,one of the greats, only one of the team left now. RIP
  3. Always had weed problems on the Old West ,and that was in the seventies,but it was one of the reasons to come to the Broads. And of course the locks
  4. I remember the old saying ( do you live to work or work to live ) I had a neighbour who got very upset if he could not work on a Sunday in a large factory . Where as here in our town ( in Norfolk ) they still close Wednesday afternoon apart from the big chains and the Town is empty .

  8. Hemingford was our favourite-spot we had a Freeman 24 moored at Crosshall, moved it to Norfolk then a Princess 30 DS and ended up. With a Bounty 28 best boat of the lot all round
  9. Went on th MATCH DAY bus to. NOrwich. I am sure the. Driver. WasLewis Hamilton in disguise never forgot that one

Been a Ransome fan since a kid ,we hired a boat in th seventies.and was on Breydon when they were filming Coot Club we stil have the video on VHS got the DVD and have just read them both on Kindle as the original books are fragile.Just read TITYS Book of her time filming Swallows and Amazons on the Lake District on Kindle.

  19. Looking good had ours for many years ,loved it ,hope you have as much enjoyment as we did .
  20. Back to Eels I used to go with my Dad to COOKS in Dalston East London where they had a drawer which pulled out the from the the front of the shop for you to select from a mass of live eels in the tray to be prepared for you ,with a pie and liquor ,was the best TAKE Away at the time ,along with Faggots and pease pudding from Edmonton .they were the days .No Just Eat delivery’s in those days.
