  1. Oh and Happy National Corgi Day.
  2. Cosford. Brings back memories. Did my Trade Training there in the 70s. Hapoy days. Been to the museum a few times since.
  3. Hi Helen. We moored there a lot when we had Shadow. A nice mooring. Dog had fun, but was a bit muddy at the time.
  4. Who would have thought, when we showed you and your hubby round Shadow at Norwich yacht station all those years ago, that it would come to this. Funny old world!
  5. A lovely little programme. As we are not likely to come that way again, it made me feel really nostalgic.

    My Day

Lucky you. This year our Plum didn't have any fruit at all. They apple and pears are abundant. The dogs are having a great time scrumping.
  7. Hi. Don't post on here very often anymore. But, years ago the Berney was run by two blokes. What with their welcome and the dog running down the stairs to greet everyone. It was very welcoming and the moorings were looked after. From memory it started to go downhill when they left. Some have tried and failed since to make it a going concern though.
  8. I'm on three and it didn't work in Wiltshire either!
  9. An end of an era. Alan and Tan were part of Ranworth Breeze syndicate from the very beginning. They are now back together.
  10. Oh the joys of seven ladder rungs at Yarmouth Yacht station!
  11. Good luck with the move. A unanimous decision. Fantastic. There must be a change in personalities!
  12. That's right. Towards the end of our ownership we very rarely left the mooring quite content just to sit and watch the world go by. Of course that was before Shadow got moved.
  13. Helen. The Shadow has certainly changed since we sold. I keep seeing the photos and being a bit envious. But the decision to sell was right then and still is. A move up north was broached a few times but never happened. Lightning is the only syndicate boat left at Broom now? Sue
  14. A long time since have posted on here, but Oulton Broad was one of our favourite places to go to on our autumn/winter trips in MS. Rosie used to love the sport of trying to out do the squirrels, but usually failed dismally. Unfortunately sold the shares prior to Mambos arrival. We hope to get up there again sometime in a static caravan.
  15. Hi Helen. Where is Shadow now? That's a shame about the move, apart from the stones that was one of the best moorings at.Brooms. Manys the times we just stayed on the mooring watching the world go by.
  16. Hi folks. A friend of ours is moving to Attleborough in the next couple of weeks. She has a 10 year old spaniel and has been attending a dog training group for a number of years. She is looking for a similar facility near her new home. Have any of you good Norfolk folks got any recommendations? Thanks. Sue
  17. Hi all. All this talk about Shadows clutter brings back memories. We used to de-clutter regularly and then find complaints in the log book on our next trip! It became far too much trouble in the end! Good luck Helen.
  18. I see one of these shares is SSTC already. Must be something of a record.
  19. We were on our maiden voyage in Ranworth Breeze, with Glenn giving us the tutor. His wife phoned to say it had appeared on the news. Our trips always coincided with something newsworthy. We went up there once during the fuel strike and a lot of the other hirers were panicking about having enough fuel to get home.
  20. Hi Alan. I well remember counting the number of rungs with Breeze!
  21. Hi Helen. We haven't got an allotment, but this is the first time in a number of years we have used the greenhouse for what it is designed for and not storage. Shadow and the caravan used to take all our time. Now no Shadow, and all caravan sites closed, more time for the garden.
  22. Rosie and Mambo. 13.5 year old Red/white bitch. 16 month old Tri dog. Rosie quite a well travelled boating dog when we were shareholders in Moonlight Shadow. We got the Sprog after we left. Used part of the share sale pennies to add him to the family.
  23. Purely my personal opinion, with Tin Hat firmly on! But I cant see how grown men feel the need to beat seven shades out of each other, in the name of sport, even if it is skilful. It can cause so many problems. A case in point; how Cassias Clay ended up, you cant tell me that it did not have something to do with his fighting over the years.
  24. It seems to me that this heating just is not up to the job. Was problematic for most of the time we owned our shares. We always had a fan heater and extra 'throws' we took on board with us.
