We've managed to acquire quite a few!
Good job the shares in Moonlight Shadow look like they are going to take at least two years to sell. It gives us a chance to use them.
Although if a miracle occurs, I suppose we can always put them up for grabs. S
Oh Polly I wish I was that clever, all those sewing machines. I never could sew. When it came to choose between cookery and sewing for 'O' Level, I chose cookery. Just scraped a pass so not much of a chef either!
I can knit though and my knitting kit is spread around a few cabinets. It's amazing how much space 100gm balls of wool take.
At the moment I am being gainfully employed knitting baby bobble hats for our local maternity unit. They let it be known they need 5,000 a year and asked all us knitters to help. The one I'm doing at the moment is cable which does rather get the grey cells going.
I tried Ovo to see if they could save us anything. No luck, more than I am paying now. For us these price comparison websites are a con. The best deal I could find (coincidentally with the same supplier) for electric only was £96 more than the previous year.
All the 'good' deals appear to be for dual fuel, which, as there us no gas in our village, rather means we will always dip out.
For our heating/water we are always at the mercy of 'market forces'. I haven't yet found a way of fixing the prices for heating oil.
Gripe over! S
Oh and Iresa were even worse!
So far as I am aware all the posts are still live. We spent Christmas on board a couple of years ago (before they changed the posts granted) but had no problems at all.

Absolutely marvelous. Watching fish catching birds out of the sky at the moment!
Amazing. A must watch.
Will be watching Pru and Tim on 4+1 at 21:00.

Oh, Many apologies. I have just realised that we had a week in February that we had put up for grabs as we couldn't use it. So far, no-one else has grabbed it so I have asked B.C.B.M. for it back, in case a new owner comes forward and is interested.
The way we used to work it, sometimes we got 9 weeks a year, sometimes 7!
Sue.
We've just had our syndicate A.G.M, and know next years dates.
Unless I got very confused they are as follows:
7-14 April 2018, 28 July-4 August, 18-25 August, 15-29 September, 1-9 December, 22-29 December.
If anything changes or I have got things badly wrong I will update here.
If interested, please P.M.

Met my first Cockapoo today.
A gorgeous three month old pup called Molly, who our neighbour was carrying. Apparently Molly is rather timid.
Rosie isn't usually very sociable, but she definitely wanted to say hello. So our neighbour put Molly down and no problems at all. Rosie recognised a pup and Molly realised our 11 year old Corgi was no threat.
Was definitely an 'ah' moment.
If we weren't 'died in the wool' Corgi people would seriously consider a Cockapoo.

Shows how sad I am, blowing a howling hooligan and just starting to rain again.
Have just dug out the Champions box set, quite dated by today's standard - but good fun for all that.
Sue
Mind you after a while them as does gets tired of 'doesing'.
As Griff says that is the way of syndicates. There are:
Them as does
Them as can't
Them as don't and
Them as won't

I'm still on the fence about the judges.
I have had a soft spot for Debbie since the beginning. I did like Ruth on Saturday and Susan was a joy.
Was it a bit early in the series for a ten? A lot to live up to methinks.
Sue
The other extreme.
People who will insist on either overtaking or pulling in front of a caravan, then procede to dawdle.
We often see the queue of cars behind us and grumble 'It's not us folks its him ,(or her) in front.
