  1. Hello I am now just a few weeks away from my first trip on the broads for many years as I have said before I am taking my two teenage sons , I have been reading many bits of information and watching many you tube videos, so I ask the question how busy is the broads normally over the Easter period 1st april - 4th april as from what I have read it can be fairly busy , my concern is mooring and finding the space to , anyone know what I should expect , I was 11 last time I went some 30+ years ago but it was summertime and I can just remember it was quite busy then ,
  2. many thanks , to you all thats a great help really looking forward to it
  3. Hello , a question/query, My 2 sons 17 and 16 and Myself late 40s ish lol , are about to take our first holiday together on the broads , we are hiring a boat from Richardsons boatyard from the 1st of April for 4 nights , I have read in the conditions etc about all male parties maybe being charged an additional security deposit, does anyone know if this relates to my type of party , in my mind I would think its reserved for all male young groupsof friends etc as with camp sites etc , but having never used a boatyard before not sure how they feel, we are of course a sensible family and taking the holiday for a male bonding time and to give my boys a life expierience they might not otherwise get,
  4. Just to say hi , looking forward to finding out useful and interesting things from you all about the broads , years ago I lived in sudbury suffolk (my mum still does) so the broads were just up the road , I now live down south (portsmouth area) so still in a nautical area but on a different scale, myself and my younger boys are visiting the broads at easter and cant wait , ive not been since I was about 11 some 30 odd years ago so its gonna be a blast from the past I loved it back then and I feel sure its not lost its charm
