  1. I imagine things like this don’t help: https://www.eastern-ifca.gov.uk/fishing-vessel-owner-master-fined/ Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  2. When Thunder (and other BCBM managed syndicates) were first set up there was 12.5 shares with the 0.5 share having fixed weeks in Spring and summer. That’s the share I have so we have a spring and summer week every year. It’s also a school’s holiday share so it’s a school holiday week every year. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  3. Hayley, I have a half share in Thunder and have had since 2011. Annual running costs have not really changed since 2015 And for my 2 weeks share they have been: Management fee £220 Running costs £455 This excludes the Winter Maintenance which jumps around a bit depending on what we choose to do. 4. £3 for Womack is a bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  5. I think the 50m rule also applies to vessels not under your control? Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  6. Several times I have seen people flying drones from the roof of their cruiser whilst moored at Ranworth Staithe. Just last month one flew around the green at Ranworth at about 12 foot off the ground much to the amusement of its pilot! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network

Nothing there I would disagree with! The Bure River Cottage is very nice but hardly pub prices. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  10. We cruised through Horning this morning. Plenty of boats about and on the move. We even managed a perfect mooring into Boulters (Nobody Other than their staff to see it though!). Later whilst having breakfast a number of day boats were out and about. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  11. PS- and of course welcome to Syndicate ownership! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  12. We arrived at Ranworth at around 4pm on sat. Mud-weighted for about 45mins before a space became available. By dusk there was around 18-20 boats mud-weighted on the Broad and the island looked busy as well. Sunday up to Gayes staithe and actually managed to nab one of the side on moorings at lunchtime. Gayes and Neatishead full up by tea time with many boats arriving and trying their luck over the course of the evening. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  13. Unfortunately a day too early for us! Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  14. I got round to tallying up the costs of Thunder since we bought a share in 2011. Including the purchase price of our two week share and allowing for 19 weeks afloat they have cost us £580 per week plus fuel and pumpouts. Excluding the purchase price (and realistically I reckon I wouldn’t lose much on a sale) the price falls to £400 a week. I’m taking that. Sent from my iPhone using Norfolk Broads Network
  15. I’m not saying it is not intentional, just saying everything is a compromise. We may to moor and it out less. As the toll continues to rise whilst the availability of BA moorings reduces something has to give! Although according to another thread on here as a public sector worker I am due to retire any day now with a gold plated salary and even possibly a knighthood. So it can’t all be bad!!!
