  1. But Neil the right of navigation would apply to the moorings at the above boatyards that sit on the main river, no? Of you take Brooms for example would it BA's responsibility to dredge the river at the Broom fuel pump moorings?
  2. Neil you might be right but by the same reasoning that would mean Brooms and Barnes would get their river front moorings dredged for them!
  3. But Lori surely the responsibility to dredge private moorings belongs to the owner, not the BA?
  4. Once you know it is Beccles you can see it quite clearly. And I did not need the clues!
  5. Norfolk Nog-slightly off topic but I believe Brooms are hiring all through winter if that is of interest.
  6. Without opening a big can of worms is that not the side opposite the BA basin? And if so is it not private moorings? If so who is responsible for the dredging? And just to add at Easter (maybe two weeks prior to the photo being taken, which as we know was an extremely low tide) we took Thunder up there and arrived about low tide and had no problems.
  7. I got the invite but we are off to see Robbie Williams at Wembley.......
  8. The other place I forgot is Great Yarmouth. I am sure plenty of families stop in Yarmouth for the day. Still, at least Reedham is free moorings........
  9. We to would prefer to be in the yacht station but over the course of a week on the south side mooring fees can add up and I am sure so some people it all adds up to the cost of a holiday. Obviously you have the choice of where to moor and therefore pay but there are fees at the following: -Beccles -Oulton -Norwich -WRC All places that we as a family like to stop at and so far that must be £40 give or take electric.
  10. Today's Barnes newsletter was offering 25% off and there are at least 2 discount websites that have sprung up. We pulled into Richos during half term and the must have been about 100 boats still in yard and their boats seem to be very keenly priced.
  11. Clive assuming I don't have my sail boats mixed up (and there can't be many with a mast that big!) it looks like the practice by the Cockshoot moorings last week paid off!
  12. Sorry to keep the thread drifting but I have uploaded some photos today vis Tapatalk. Should I be using the option of Tapatalk hosting them rather than the forum option? Ta
  13. But they should work on shore power without the inverter?
  14. Matt

    WAFIs at TMOR

I shall be "ploughing" through to get to the windmill open afternoon. I shall have a drink beforehand to steady my nerves......
  15. Bill whatever you do don't tell him about Rockland or Whitlingham Park we don't want those places getting busy..........
  16. Johnny I know they were mentioned above but did you look at http://www.norfolkrivercottages.co.uk/index.html A number of the properties have ramps put in and they have river frontage and often take pets.
  17. So much for local suppliers!
  18. I have bought some from Boulters and found them reasonable and last time I was in Jeckalls in Wroxham they had some 10m pre made ones for £10 I think.
  19. I think a passage toll is for one way journeys. Mutford lock to Beccles return is obviously not....... Maybe give them a call?
  20. Whilst without doubt good news (is that three in total?) I often wonder why they only put a solitary post in in the first place. Surely the big outlay is getting the power supply and a team there in the first place-surely additional posts cost a smaller fraction on the price? Reedham, Rockland (not so easy I agree), Loddon etc
  21. I would suggest settling for test match special!
  22. If you do choose to go from the north then get a dinghy if you are happy to have a row. The kids will love it and the busier places such as Horning, womack and Ranworth will be accessible by dinghy when the moorings are full. You can still use a dinghy in the dough in places but the current makes it hard work in places!
