  1. We had finished ours as well.7 of us had been to The Reedcutters to watch The Yare Navi Race and luckily got fed quickly.Strange thing is that when I left to go out on a friends boat at 9am.the board next to me said Norfolk Lady but when we got back around 5.15 a different boat was moored there. Somebody must have switched the boards Boycee
  2. Did speak to the couple that own the boat now who bought it from Sutton Staithe boatyard and now moor at Somerleyton. Sorry cant remember the boat name but they were not with us, they were at a club meet early Christmas Party at the Ferry House think it was The Norfolk Broads Boat Club or something similar Boycee
  3. Steve at Quayway Boats the old Astons Yard at Beccles does fuel & pumpouts
  4. Seems a lot of money for fuel Neil even though you went North and back. I did 166 miles in my 3 weeks and used 60 littes of fuel @ £1.16 a litre cost just over £69 when I filled up to the brim at my mooring Sutton Staithe. Boatyard.Brooms are probably one of the most expensive fuel providers on the Broads. Would it not be an idea if you filled up at Swancraft as I think you will find them cheaper. Sandpiper averaged almost 12.6 mpg not always with the tide. Food for thought maybe Alan
  5. Ray as I said in my previous post ring for a mooring and ask to be put on the pontoon. If its not possible they will tell you when you book Boycee
  6. Are you sure that you were at Oulton Broad Ray ? Harbour master is Paul and his assistants are Bob,Simon Les and a new guy who has just started. Neil also helps out in the summer. Ring for a mooring and ask to be put on the floating pontoon with optional electric Boycee
  7. Its a one day race Ian so ut started and finished yesterday Boycee
  8. Good racing today we watched it moored outside the Reedcutters at Cantley. Quite a few retirements but the overall winner was Dragonfly Boycee
  9. Burgh Castle looking towards the moorings and the 2 marinas Boycee
  10. Paul yes he is he has taken back ownership he told me a month or so ago Alan
  11. Thought you had CCTV rigged up to monitor BA does that not show anything? Boycee
  12. Dan from Peachments changed mine in the water at my mooring following putting in a new gearbox 2 weeks earlier with no problems. Could just be that the packing is old, porus and needs replacing Boycee
  13. Hi Trev Spoke to Robert at Sutton Staithe Boatyard who says there are several different types some easier than others. He did say if you took your boat into them they would sort it out for you but it would cost and you may want to do it youself. Tel no:- 01692 581653 Boycee
  14. No idea sorry the only thing that drips is my stern gland which gets tightened once a year when Mark does our annual service Boycee

No it is next to it before the New Cut Boycee
  16. Ian dont forget that its the Yare navigation Race from Brundal to Breydon & back on Sat 7th Sept. Lots if flappy things around all that day from early morning dependent on the tides
  17. Yes Ian from about the 6th for 3 weeks but we will be south most of that time. In fairness it was never a 4-0 game but we took our chances and you hit the post twice but as they say thats football, not worth getting depressed about it was just one game Alan
  18. If we"re lucky but you never know. Will be down in Sept if you see Sandpiper give us a wave or call in for a beer
  19. Fair enough have a good season Im sure it will be better than ours but remember The only ship thats never sailed into Liverpool is the Premiership
  20. I never knock any other team infact my other half is a Liverpool supporter as are a lot of my mates. I class myself as a fan of football and fail to see the reason for being derogatory to other teams because I am fully aware that all teams have there good periods and bad periods. Now it is City and Liverpools turn to be top dogs as it was Uniteds in the last decade and maybe sometime in the future it will be again but I can assure you that I dont have a "Manc inferiority" to Liverpool as you suggest but you seem to have some sort of dislike of Man Utd
  21. Still laughing Jay?. Proud to say that I am a born & bred Mancunian and have been a United supporter since 1953 unlike a lot of others and indeed a lot of my mates are plastic scousers which I suspect you might be unless you were born & bred in Liverpool Boycee
