Poem About Wroxham

I wandered lonely as a cloud,

That zig zags gently on the Bure,

When all at once I saw a crowd

Of pirates quaffing lager pure.

Upon a boat and making waves

They gave my boat the closest shave.

'Oi Saily' cried the merry crew,

'Get out the way, we're coming through.

We want more lager at a pub,

And have a laugh and get some grub.

Your zigzags get right in our way,

So just flap off!' I heard them say.

'Oh pirates,' I replied so mild,

'Oh never make a saily wild,

For we are armed with bowsprits true

And thrutching's what can come to you!'

They mocked and laughed on hearing me,

And ran the boat into a tree,

And there they stuck, ay, there's the rub,

They didn't  make it to the pub.

cheers
