One of the problems with taking the hull back to bare wood was losing the name from the transom. I did think about a decal but after a chat with Ian and Patrick at Martham they put me in touch with a great sign writer that they use.

i hope you agree with me he did a cracking job but not cheap.

There really is a " je ne sais quoi" about a varnished hull. The boat is an absolute credit to your dedication to her preservation.

the trouble is a lot of the wooden boats have also had a lot of loving attention lavished upon them too, this makes it very difficult to choose, they all look stunning. (but I agree).

That’s the great thing about the show, it’s what boat you would like to take home not which is best. If they were all the same it wouldn’t be such a great show.

Yes, you can vote for any boat you like using any criteria you see fit to choose. The question is 

'Which boat would you most like to take home, excluding your own'? That's it. No guidance is offered at all...

It's also completely anonymous  (excluding Lulu's recent confession above!)

I can only add that NIPPER was very very fortunate when you chose to be her custodian , as always she looks wonderful and truly loved
