the other trouble with ordering from an engineering supplier (axminster toy shop) is that things tend to come well packed and you need engineering tools to get in. like the hacksaw for the metal banding

so the box was unpacked, the handles etc were put on, and then of course it was time to test, so a piece of wood was tested first, then a piece of brass, it certainly seems to work as advertised.

I do need to strengthen up the rickety trolley its sitting on though as that wobbles something wicked, no matter that should not be too tricky.

time to fix some of the fittings into place, these were drilled and pins were used to locate them, then the first of the roof vents was fitted, this one straddles the joining strip at the front.

No, I am good, I have plenty to get what can be done before the wooden boat show finished, as I will be on the broads from the 21st, and have other stuff to get ready for that too, it will mostly be getting the cabin roof fittings fixed down
