Howard didn't they tell you all pubs in Norfolk are closed today due to the un-seasonally hot weather! May as well go home in case you get too much sun:party:.

Hi Howard,

I agree that the garden is nice, but not as nice as it once was, without the fencing.

I also think the view has been spoilt a little with the resident boats moored.

Having said that it is still one of my favourite pubs on the Broads

Still

Also known as the Top House I seem to remember? Sold a lot of very good real ales. Always fun coming back down the hill in the dark with the torch.

cheersIain

Hi Geoff

With you all the way there much better without the fencing but no doubt elf and safety :-(

Iain, yes indeed fine pub, Top House and Martingale as well at one point I believe

Popped into the Lord Nelson too. Lot of money spent no doubt, done in a very modern style. Beers dominated by Greene King but Little Sharpie on good form.

I like it - quirky bu fresh and bright.  My only issue are the 'faux leather high back seats' - wherever I have seen these, they are not up to heavy public use.  I prefer good old 'low down' type chairs which also are easy to put on table tops to clean under at the end of the day.

I really hope they do well though and certainly be somewhere where I will stop off next time in Reedham.

Ah well we did the same thing in August last year and drove through Wroxham to Ludham then walked up Womack Dyke to the Thurne. It felt very strange to be by the rivers but not on a boat.
