St Olaves Bridge Height

I know from past experience that the bridge height gauge is quite accurate, so anyone who uses this area often what is the low water reading on average ?

We need  8ft 8in air draft on the new boat and the last couple of times we have done the safe option and gone all round the new cut way, but next Friday (5.30 slack water) the daylight will be against us to get to Somerleyton.

Last time I went through St Olaves, it was showing almost 11 feet. I was in an RC45 from Richos and didn't even put the roof or screens down.

I've been under plenty of times and I need 8'8" minimum, you should get an hour either side of low water at least.

If you have to wait at least theres a pub handy....

Is this any help...

We went under somerleyton it was 10ft 6inch .. Then when we got to St Olaves it was 9ft 2inch... On my broads map it says at high tide height for St Olaves bridge is 8ft clearance ..

I have seen it a lot less than 8ft at high water.

THe Broads Authority tide table says that at high water on a normal tide (whatever that is) Potter Heigham bridge has 6' 6" clearance!

Yeah right !!!!!
