CaptainJoshie
We are at ASDA now and the car park has several police, forensic services, coast guard vehicles. The TV crews have just arrived too. i tried to take Toby for his walk but was stopped at the bird hide. Spirt of Breydon was of course not there!!! Our thought are with the friend and families involved. John.
JennyMorgan
Re the TV crews, the public appetite for tragedy is not a nice trait. Re the SOB, she was moored up on Friday morning when I went past, she was also moored up on Sunday afternoon when I went past so perhaps she's broken down, again. In any case I doubt that she'd be much use for retrieving bodies from the mud so I wouldn't read anything sinister into her absence. Like you, John, my thoughts are with the families and friends, and the folk with the unpleasant job of retrieving the bodies.

Hylander
Sort of out of the ordinary , two bodies, yes the occasional one but not two. Tragic whatever the circumstances.

BroadAmbition
I heard this tragic news on BBC R2 earlier today. They stated it was being treated as a crime scene. Griff

I share this sentiment. The guys in blue overalls are all coastguard volunteers; plumbers, receptionists, builders, car salesmen... it's not their day job and incidents like this stay with you.

JennyMorgan
Suggestions in the local media suggest that these deaths were the result of a suicide pack. So very sad if that is so.
Hylander
Goodness me. To think that a couple can be so desperate , for whatever reason, is beyond sad. If only someone could have helped them.
Chelsea14Ian
It's seems that way whatever the reason so sad that it happened. For me crossing that point will remind of this
MauriceMynah
When something like this happens it is so very difficult not to speculate as to what happened and why. I'm sure the truth of the situation will eventually come out.... which is the only speculation I shall be making 'out loud'.
JennyMorgan
The Telegraph suggests it was a suicide pact so it must be right: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/30/couple-found-dead-on-norfolk-river-bank-may-have-died-in-suicide/
