Oulton Broad Waveney Ph To Close?

A good friend and Waveney regular told me yesterday that it seems the Waveney is to close in the next few weeks. That could be another one gone....

Wasn't it the Waveney which had just spent a load of cash getting the kitchen up to spec? I'd be surprised to find it closing so soon after that!

Oh no I hope not .. had a fantastic meal in there in September very friendly and a good atmosphere it will be such a shame if it shuts down......

Perhaps they are closing for an overall upgrade? They have done the kitchen and the rest is still a bit last century. I say a bit, a lot might be a better description.

Hmmmm, I'd be a bit surprised to see the Waveney close. It always seems reasonably busy when I've been in. I would have thought the BITD would be more vulnerable. As Peter says the interior is looking a bit tired and outdated now but my money would be on a refurb - possibly in time for Christmas? The beer range was always a bit pedestrian but as I recall some of the most competitively priced on the Broads. 

No doubt Peter will keep us posted!

Just been on their webb page and facebook page and there is no mention of closing that I could find.
