Re Proofing An Acrylic Canopy.

Recommended Posts

Although the acrylic canopy on my boat is not very old I would be interested in any input from other forumites as to how I re proof it when it starts leaking water. From what I have gleaned from the internet, silicone proofers should not be used on acrylic. However, information as to what should be used appears to be missing.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I am not sure, I have been using acrylic impregnated canvas for years, 10 on Rondonay and now on Brilliant and it hasn't leaked....

You might contact my favourite suppliers, Hawke House Marine, Fareham for a definitive answer.
