SwanR
Anyone else seen the new yurts sited at the Waveney River Centre? I've never been camping so I'm not entirely sure what I think of them ... and now we have the caravan I don't think that I will feel the need to give them a go! But it's an interesting option priced at £65 to £100 per night, bookable for any start day and any length of stay as far as I could see. https://www.waveneyrivercentre.co.uk/camping-pods#ud_id586
JennyMorgan
Not exactly picturesque, nor authentic! Perhaps James will organise and import goats and broad beamed, dusky maidens.
riyadhcrew
Can someone please explain what a ''yurt'' is?
JennyMorgan
Just now, riyadhcrew said: Can someone please explain what a ''yurt'' is? https://www.britannica.com/technology/yurt Wonderful thing is Google!
ChrisB
I quite like the idea of a stay in a Yurt. But leaf tea boiled in a "Billy" and served with a generous dollop of Yak Butter on top! I will stick with afternoon tea at the Seamarge in Overstrand.

riyadhcrew
Thanks for that JM. I think I will stick to 5* places with room service.
JennyMorgan
I like the idea of James's yurts but I wouldn't be keen on trotting across the dew soaked meadow in the early hours for a tiddle. Still, suppose I could always damp down the log burner!
JawsOrca
I must admit I would prefer an on suite bolted on the side but I guess these are only intended as posh tents.. I couldnt do camping but a full size bed is clearly better..
JennyMorgan
Surely an 'on suite' would be stitched, preferably by hand, rather than bolted to the side?
ScrumpyCheddar
Can't beat a bit camping I love camping.... £100 a night is a bit steep... you could buy a tent and camping goodies for all that... Fair play to them... hope it works out for them...
JawsOrca
Good point Peter and thanks for the opportunity;.. James if you need Trimnet to "stitch" an on-suite on the side please just shout and we can quote

JennyMorgan
So when anyone fancies a good yurt then that's the place to be! It's actually a good idea for a number of reasons, one being that parts of the campsite are on a slope & built up bases overcome that annoying problem so should increase James's footfall appreciably by using areas where campers don't usually use.
