VetChugger
Love the idea of a "Ford Pike" marine engine! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Parsons-Town-Quay-Southampton-Ford-Pike-Marine-Diesel-Engine-1953-Vintage-Advert-/152497454851?hash=item23818e7f03:g:2v0AAMXQGcNSD7Jw

Vaughan
This is the 4D engine which was fitted in the old Thames Trader lorries. Totally indestructible but very heavy and very noisy. I have seen them fitted in the old twin engined Freeman cruisers and several old hire boats. There was a 6 cylinder version, also marinised by Parsons, but I forget what they called it. Edited April 28, 2017 by Vaughan forum spell checker. marinised not marinated!
Vaughan
The 4 cylinder was the Pike, but I can't remember what they called the 6 cyl.
