I'm hoping to get Lightning up there in July. What was the Cross Keys like Fred, were you eating in there?.

Hi Neil, We did not eat at the Cross Keys, so can not comment on the food. Its an unusual pub, a bit old fashioned but in a nice way and has a large outside area if the weather is good. Very different from the tourist aimed establishments found around the system.

We love Dilham main issue is every time we have been there it's full (must be good then) and turning the old lady plus tender is potentially entertaining, last summer the brambles tried to capture the ensign but we fought back and kept our dignity. Plodded off back to Weyford briefly considered staying there, but eventually ended up going all the way back down river to Gays Staithe where we  had a wonderful barbeque dinner with wine and sun and s ... oops nearly..

We've eaten in the Crosskeys a couple of times recently - the first time was excellent, the second was also good.

Although there is a charge, the Wayford moorings are well worth the cost - especially the top end away from the road!!!
