wayneakp
Hi Reading the thread on heating got me wondering. The new boat has a diesel heater - it also has two fuel tanks and presumably ithe heater is connected to just one tank. Therefore can I only use the 60/40 diesel in the tank that also supplys heater as well as engine, or would I get away with using it on both? Thanks Wayne
jimbo
I would check where the heater fuel pipe leads to first, as mine comes from the primary filter head, which would mean 60/40 for all fuel
Antares_9
I really wouldn't worry, it's the total fuel used that the 60 /40 split is based on so it really doesn't matter, also the allowance is not just for the heater but also hot water and battery charging. Just use the 60 / 40 when you fill up. The tanks probably have a balance pipe anyway so are effectively one tank.
