Oil

Not sure what oil I need for my outdrives as last time it was done it was as part of a service by someone else.

Could be API G-L5 SAE 90 gear oil or Synthetic API GL-5 SAE 75w-90

The change over was from the 290 DPa1 to the DPa2 so hopefully I can read the plate and the person who serviced them last time put the right stuff in.

Where is the best place to buy these sort of oils and is it worth using Volvo?

Is your outdrive model number not on the engine ID plate? Mine have all the enginer serial numbers but also the outdrive, listing them as DP-D1. Armed with this, it looks like mine use the Synthetic GL5 SAE 75W-90.
