Katie
Found this old picture to prove I loved boats even from a young age. Dad and I cruising The Ouse in an old wooden converted lifeboat - no idea what make she was! Love his beanie hat.
Katie
I caught a fish, much to my big brothers annoyance as he'd been quietly fishing all day and I just breezed along--- as youngsters do! and asked if I could " have a go" To stop me pestering he reluctantly allowed me to use his spare rod - in less than 5 mins I caught a small Roach and to make him even more cheerful my mother forced him to take a picture!

Grace Unfortunately not anymore Grace, I don't have the time/ patience, but I did teach the boys to fish ! Or more accurately I unknotted the fishing line, put the maggots on and took the fish off - if they caught any. May take it up again, you never know.

Katie
My love of water and boats comes from my dad and brother who were both Navy boys, though in very different eras. Dad during the war and my brother signed up in the late 60's ( he was a lot older than me!) Sadly they are both no longer with us but it's thanks to them that we finally managed to buy a boat of our own and having hired for 14 years The Broads was the only place we wanted to be. Apparently I can't count, maths was never my strong point! my better half ( very tongue in cheek) informs me it's nearer 22 years - well time flies when you're having fun.
