That would be great Perry, thanks. I imagine that is where they are intending to moor us.

We are seriously considering it as we are unable to get out in the summer when the SB's do. Would be good to see some other forumites going along as well.

Hi Ian

Would love to go but have already allocated my holidays for this year. Nice run down and Ipswich is worth a visit.

We know duh!

Has anyone been on one of these before or know anyone who has?

The Salthouse is a lovely boutique hotel and a nice place to eat, being fairly regular visitors to Ipswich we have eaten in a good selection of the waterfront establishmets and echo Suzanne's comments, they are really well above acceptable. cheers

That looks very tempting, but it's not during school holidays is it? With both kids and SWMBO ties to school holiday times I think it'll have to be a no, unless I can find a temporary replacement crew! :naughty:

Mark nothing stopping just you going :naughty::naughty::lol::lol:

That's alright Jonny - he already seems to have found a companion.... I gather that Mark was entertaining my wife for 2 hours on his boat yesterday! I don't know, you give her a day off from the cooking and so on and next thing I know she's on a another man's boat. :o

Now now, Simon, you'll give everyone the wrong idea! :o I don't think I was particularly entertaining anyway, as I only had one mug for tea so the poor lass had a beaker of water. Not exactly a good host

Still if she's any good at crewing ....... :naughty:

Well if Adam and Suzanne are considering doing it, I'm happy to go too and infact think it's be a really good bit of experience, just don't fancy the 4 days on my own! The kids and SWMBO are obviously at school, so they won't be able to attend.

Right, Leyroy ..... I have crew!

My borther and family were up from Essex yesterday and I mentioned it to him. He jumped at the chance! :dance So assuming you don't mind cruising in the company of the Dangerous Brothers from Essex, when are we booking it?

Hi mark,

"Dangerous brothers" eh?

Well as long as you dont mind cruising with Bonnie and Clyde :naughty:two guns:naughty:

If it gets too scary...we can tie the boats together and go as a catamaran! :party2:

Took "bling" for a post bashing again on breydon yesterday. Though today would have been a better option as its fab out there as we speak.

It was a quite windy going up but interestingly found that when going into the waves and into the wind, she felt more comfortable the faster we went. AT 18-20knots. she wobbled a little (nowhere near to the extreme we had with jupes) but at 24 knots i guess she was just that little bit higher in the water and seems to be more steady.

The return trips were much much smoother and with the wind behind we got 27 knots and the engines still had quite a bit left to go, but alas, we run out of channel!!! :Stinky .

Athough it wasnt the most comfortable ride we have had on breydon, we both felt that we had handled the slightly adverse conditions quite well and we will be more confident in future.

Good stuff Leroy, sounds like the plan is a go-er then :dance .

We're still in the middle of fitting heating, but I hope in a couple of weeks time we can have a quick Breydon blast and also practise a few moorings so we don't embarrass ourselves too much at easter! I was please to find out the engines both started instantly yesterday having not been run since Jan 1st, and even the trim tabs seem to be gremlin free too at the moment!
