Baz
Hiya all. I hired a boat a number of years ago from ' Faircraft Lloynes " called Fair Ambassador. The question is : Who was the manufacturer, as it was something I never used to think about. Many thanks Baz
Dan
Hi Baz They are a Sheerline 950 CC. They are still made, though I guess in lower numbers these days. Initially they were made at Wroxham by Smiths, who have the Sheerline Day Cruisers, but after Pennant landed them in a mess when they went bumpety bump things changed a little, but still made under the Sheerline name in different hands http://www.sheerlinemotorcruisers.com/p ... re-cockpit All the best Dan

BuffaloBill
Sheerline are now made by Wroxham Marine at Thorpe. As you come over the Yare at Thorpe on the A47 heading towards Yarmouth, you can see their base on your left. Coming up river towards Norwich, it's the first cut on your starboard side just as you come through the bridge. Ours is a 950(see avatar) and the new ones do look very nice! They delivered a new one about a month ago, Very nice it was too Delivered to you Clive?

Delivered to you Clive? not to me, I went to see James Applegate at work a few weeks ago as they were finishing it prior to delivery. They are actually picking up a set of mouldings from me on Monday, no doubt they will produce a cracking boat from them too.
MBA Marine
I have very much enjoyed the stints i have put in at Wroxham marine, as a subby not a employee. some very nice boats leave there and built in a very interesting shanty town arrangement of sheds!
