Just reviving this thread......Was that short aerial used outside in the rain?

I only ask as I now own one but not taken it to the boat yet.

Yes we left it out all fortnight without any issues.

I used one of these gel pads to hold it and it never moved an inch, even in the high winds.

these pads don’t mark the gel coat at all.

I just used it at home a couple of weeks ago and it’s still working fine, even indoors I got all the channels.

Thanks for that. I asked because it says 'indoor aerial' and that

made me wonder if it was waterproof.

No problem 

We only used it for a 2 week hire but had some pretty extreme weather over that time.

I don’t know how it would survive if left out for extended periods, maybe a bit of  Vaseline or similar around the joint would keep the water out.

It’s now an essential part of our boating kit
