Looks like he is 'sorted' crew wise for the morning. As has been said before I really feel for the guys that got her this far and wont be there tomorrow! I am sure Robin will find a way to involve them somehow!

All round a fantastic adventure, with its ups and downs (quite literally)

I feel for Robin who missed a leg and the Indy Crew who have to leave before she arrives in Brundall.

But take heart that between you all and that's everyone included, the members that took the video and photos, the crew, all the people that got Indy ship shape, all the members that sent encouragement and congratulations, comments and all the banter,

IT WAS WORTH IT.

I'm a new member who has followed 'The Captains blog' ever since we bought our first boat, my other half 'Lulu' is a full member (so only right I joined) you Guys and Girls have more than likely encouraged more people to keep boating and living their dreams than any other event.

Thank you all

Selsie

Well, as you are all aware, we are here. I ache everywhere.

1). Haven bridge operates are covering / waffling - I call it LYING and I’ll explain why later

2). We got alongside Town House Quay for 1600 after a hell of a lot of stress, pushing ourselves and Indy to do it, all that way from Dover Marina to Haven Bridge 96nm in the worst seas since Plymouth  - well chuffed

3). Robin onboard, met us on arrival

4) Me and Howard sorted out 240v - now all to the good

5). Thank you one and all that have offered encouragement / complements to Team Indy it’s appreciated

6). A thanks from me to team Indy, you were great

7). Big thanks to Robin for allowing me to skipper Indy - a great privalige and honour

My boy Dale will be here sometime this evening to drive me, Howard, Brian, and Wizard Home. Work for us in t morning

Personally - (I will do a proper write up and reply to your posts I due course). I am so disappointed that team Indy do not get to take her over Breydon up the Yare to Brundall. Out of the whole trip that was the one leg I was really looking forward too, the icing on the cake, the reward if you like, the chance is now gone, never to be repeated. Four day terrible sea trip plus a maintenance weekend with all that entailed, just for the prize to be cruelly snatched away right at the death.  Gutted

Anyroadup, I wish Robin and volunteers a great trip tomorrow.

Griff

A bit slow with a cup of tea JM :default_biggrin:

Got talking with another photographer (not that I'm one ) whilst on the pier, turned out he was photographing for another place Lord Paul, what a jolly decent chap he seems.

Well done everyone. Thanks for the updates and photos to all that have been doing so on board and ashore. This has probably been the most entertaining thing on the internet since the Captains Blog's tin opener scene. Well done again!!! See you all for lads week!

I've not me you Griff yet can I just say that You and your Team have clearly excelled during this fascinating journey . . . today especially.

I am so sorry that the final leg, as you cite: "The icing on the cake", was cruelly taken away from you.

Robin . . . total admiration of your courage in your course of action and thanks for keeping us all updated too.

Every respect to 'Team Independence' and thank you.

David.
