I was not in the chat room but Bern decided to post this outside the chat room presumably to share with a wider audience. I thought that even had people encouraged her to stay in the chat room, it wouldn't have hurt them to do so in the wider group as well, even if they had just re-affirmed their chat room comments. I am sure Bern would not want to make this a major issue so I guess it's best left there as far as I am concerned.

Sounds like a great quiz Steve. I will not be there this week or any other Friday in the foreseeable future. Thank you to all for your support especially over the last 4 years with my health problems. I will miss you all xx

I am afraid that child-minding, Lego, steam engines and Meccano have taken their toll this week and I have only just got around to updating folks on the outcome of last Friday's quiz.

Mike ended the day in 3rd place and Polly was 2nd. We had a tense 3-way tie for the winning position between Nigel, Tigerhawk and NikO , which NikO won.  Unfortunately she will be busy next Friday as we have visitors, so Nigel kindly agreed to be QM.

And that, as they say, was that.

No chance of that tonight because we have the quiz to end all quizzes (yes it may be that bad no one want's to do one ever again).

We have a cornucopia of answers needing questions (no sorry that was an hour ago we now have questions that need answers none of which i'm sure of at the moment).

Rounds We have rounds and a few curves as well may even throw in a square root.

Subjects yes loyal subjects lend me a few bob.

Categories there like Allegories but not all cats are gory.

Things (can only get better) yes usually after the last question.

1) Halloween (That ghastly thing on Sunday)

2) Fillums (those flickery things that now come with sound too)

3) Alphabet (as opposed to an alpha mary)

4) US state capitals (should they be in capitals or lowercase)

5) Who's hiding ( no not those on the broads trying to get away from or with it all)

6) General kerfuffle ( or a fight to the finish It could end up in a fight i'll tell you)
