Meantime
It looks like NYA have now completed the purchase of the old Alphacraft yard in Brundall and in recognition of Langford Jillings snr is to rename the place to Langford Harbour. A fitting tribute. https://www.nya.co.uk/nya-acquire-alpha-craft-yard-brundall/
Broads01
I agree using the Langford name is good but 'Harbour' it certainly isn't! I think 'Basin' or 'Marina' would have described it better.

VetChugger
A very fitting tribute to a Broads boating pioneer. Just a shame that the legacy was tarnished by the unfortunate events surrounding the demise of the fleet and yard. Events seemingly beyond Langford Sr's control.

Graham47
I agree with VerChugger. I hired boats from Langford Snr for 4 week’s a year for almost 20 years with new boats being added almost every year. He was quite a character who as well as having a passion for boat building had a passion for renovating Jaguar cars. I am glad that NYA are naming their new venture after him and that in the future people may ask Who was Langford?
