JohnK
So it’s nearly low tide and it appears one side of the river is flowing one way and the other side the other way. Conveniently both flowing in the direction of boat travel. I think it’s just an optical illusion because the wind is causing ripples on one side. Or is it??Ignore the dog, she’s mad and just stares at the water. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
vanessan
I’ve seen that happen quite a few times. It can be confusing if you’re trying to leave a mooring and planning which way to head out.

Really? I assumed it only looked like that was happening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
vanessan
True, but if it looks like it’s happening maybe it is - who knows?! Think back to ‘newbie’ days when you were told to look and see what the river was doing before leaving a mooring and then make a decision as to how to leave that mooring. Experience now tells us that there are these anomalies but it could confuse some. I’m not sure I’m explaining myself all that well but I hope you get my drift (sorry!).
