Norwich Falcons Webcam

If you're interested in seeing the Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Falcons, on the webcam. Now is the time, because by next weekend they will probably have fledged and left the nest platform.

However, if you are 'on the broads' during this summer and plan to visit Norwich, the young falcons will still be around the Cathedral. They will continue to be fed by the parent birds, as they learn to hunt and live independently, by August they will start to disperse and begin to live their adult lives...

I should add, that as the young falcons leave the nest platform, they begin the most dangerous period of their lives. As they learn to fly and become independent of the adult birds, they will make mistakes. Peregrine Falcons are the fastest creature on our planet and with so many buildings around them, these mistakes can unfortunately often be fatal...

Some great views of the birds on the webcam at the moment. They do look as if they will start to leave the nest now. Checked the webcam a few minutes ago ... only two birds there and then the third one flew in.

One of them seems to like sitting on top of the camera, I don't think it has flown beyond that yet.

Anyone seen the male, or even bring her any food at all?

Not seen anything so far.

I've read that the adult birds will try to temp "late flyers" out of the nest (eyrie) by either flying past with food or feeding the other chicks very close by.

Updated to say that some food has been dropped into the eyrie.
