ExSurveyor Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Seen 14 or 15 of these beautiful boats being rowed up The Yare today. Apparently they are heading to Norwich, mostly crewed by older ladies and all on visitors tolls. They have more energy than I have 1 Quote
Ray Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 We saw them coming down the Ant on Monday, I misread their flag as being French! Sacre bleu! 1 1 Quote

Thought it was a French invasion fleet!!! about 2:30 there were 3 or 4 going towards bramerton and 1 already at bramerton having a picnic. Gave us a nice wave as well. They were not taking it easy either. 1 Quote
Baitrunner Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Sorry was busy driving. I'm sure someone will catch them on digital data media tomorrow. Film was so much easier to say The boat moored at bramerton was an immaculate wooden beauty. I've got a plastic fantastic and even I was impressed Quote

vanessan Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 We saw them last Monday, exiting Thurne Dyke around 2.30pm - I wonder where they had been?.......... One or two of the boats were wandering about a bit! A nice sight though, they were having fun and it was good to see. Quote
JennyMorgan Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Saw just one leaving Oulton Broad this morning, tide against them! Perhaps being from Holland and being used to tideless canals the crew didn't factor in the tides. However, hats off to them, at least they are doing it, yours truly only ever thinks about it! Quote
CambridgeCabby Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 We spotted them on Sunday near Salhouse 1 Quote
SteveO Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 All looks very innocent, but this is just how Admiral De Ruyter's 1667 raid on the Medway started. I shall be on my guard. 1 2 Quote

keifsmate Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 However, hats off to them, at least they are doing it, yours truly only ever thinks about it! Very sensible JM, there are a lot of jobs that need a good coat of looking at before being attempted! Quote
Paul Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I understand they are over here for the next four weeks or so, after all, being Dutch they have nothing better to do ......... Quote
