NeilB Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 This was a few years ago now in the US, pretty sure they all received injuries and some were quite severe. Doing those sorts of speeds you want to be strapped in with some safety gear. A bikini doesn't cut it - especially with my figure !!! :-) 1 Quote
dnks34 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 If the helm had his eye on the water and not the bikini clad women........... Whats the use of a speedboat if you cant go fast! Quote

On YouTube, many remixed variations of the video have been created featuring electronic dance music tracks dubbed over the background audio. Origin On August 31st, 2012, the Lake TV YouTube channel uploaded a news segment containing footage of a boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, where seven people were thrown back-and-forth across a boat's deck after plowing into a wake at dangerously high speed (shown below). waghorri Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Speed, great in the right place and in the right hands.... one assumes these are not the right hands ! Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app Quote
Paul Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 The thread title is a little misleading. One is only speeding if you are exceeding the limit of the waterway on which you are navigating. I understand Lake of the Ozarks only has a speed limit after dark, or within the proximity of of a dock or landing stage. As dnks34 says, why have a speedboat if you are not going to go fast? And if you do have one and want to go fast do it in an appropriate place, as these people were. And of course, every now and again they provide the rest of us with a good laugh. Quote
dnks34 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Having looked at the link it seems some of the injuries were quite serious but regarding facts unless im missing something it doesnt shed any light on what actually happened. Quote
