Enjoyed reading your tale and seeing all your photos Jay. Hope you had a good journey home. It was certainly very welcome to get the rain this week although it might not have been quite as welcome for any holidaymakers after all the hot sunny weather of late.

Thank you very much, I do worry the photos are repetitive as I am always at the helm.

To be honest apart from Thursday the rain held off for us, it didn't really rain on the Friday until almost back at base so we enjoyed a lovely morning beforehand.

Sunday 5th August

Part 1

Sunday morning I was to drop my sister and brother in law back off at Oulton Broad in order for them to head back home so an early morning began in the continuing sunshine in Beccles Yacht Station sorting the dog and preparing for the 0815 departure.20180805_080938.thumb.jpg.0df9f4d4fa63718be85c736dd9765386.jpg

Coffee in hand I set out as everyone else continued to sleep with the roof down and enjoying the Waveney river back to Oulton in the early sunshine

The river was pretty quiet and we made slow steady progress enjoying the beautiful scenery

arriving in Oulton and mooring at the empty Wherry Hotel moorings at 1015 and bid farewell to our departing visitors.

More to follow shortly...

That's me on Fair Commodore (red dog towel drying on the steering wheel), I kept seeing you all week and tried to get the mrs interested in joining a syndicate but she wont agree

Small world Neil, I assume I gave you a wave at some point :default_biggrin:

You should have popped over and said hi, I could have given you a tour of the boat. If your wife changes her mind I am sure you wouldn't regret it, I wish we had done it years ago.

I hope you enjoyed your holiday
