Broads Authority Charcoal Trial

Joking aside Andrea Kelly is no fool, very likeable too, so I'm confident in the value of her opinion. However I'm wary, as you might expect. I well remember when green wheelie bins were introduced into my neck of the woods. We were told that the service would be self financing, that the processed green waste would be sold. Perhaps some of it is sold but I also know that the surplus, effectively over supply, goes into landfill. What was supposed to be an earner for our local council is now running at a loss and we now have a council tax surcharge to cover the shortfall. Okay, so Suffolk County Council is not the Broads Authority but the Authority does not have an unsullied record in regard to commercial undertakings. Perhaps the Broads Authority should leave this one to private enterprise.
