Morning all, just going to launch my GP14 that I have just acquired. I will be buying a weekly toll as it will probably have to be pulled out again for repairs to leaks. The question is , Where do I put the ticket for the ranger to see, especially with this wet weather ?

 Leave the backing on and Duck tape it to the bow, toll plaque glue is awful to get off

I wouldn't stick it anywhere, just have it with you should you get asked.

Sticky stuff remover and a light plastic pan scourer works great in removing till plaque glue. Thank god we don’t have them anymore. I became quite adept at exactly placing the new one directly over the old one. No need for glue removal ... simples

It’s the same stuff I use to remove luggage stickers from the back of my phone when I travel. I don’t use paper tickets so it makes sense. Also safer than a boarding card.

Having had a nasty experience with a unwarranted penalty notice on a perspex window,  I found WD40 and a plastic debit card was the best thing.

You could also attach it to a small piece of foamboard cut to size then cable tie that to a rail or stanchion. 

I did this and never bothered removing the old plaque from the board I’d just stick the new one over the top of the old one like Malanka! 

I decided on the foamboard after realising how difficult it was to remove them from the hull when I first got the boat.

A rail or a stauntion on a GP 14?, I'd be tempted to stick them on the boom rather than risk ripping paint off.
