Need Help Please

Hi all, I’m looking for a slipway (if that’s what they are called) with a winch to but my boat in tomorrow. Are are at our caravan in Hemsby so one close by would be great. Thanks Lucy

You could try Sutton Staithe Boatyard, about 15 or 20 minutes from Hemsby up the A149

Thurne has a good slipway and even closer, or try Martham Boat Development on Cess Road they have a very good slip and room to park your car/trailer.

Hi Lucy Why do you want a slipway with a winch, if the boat is on a trailer you reverse trailer in water and float boat  of, recovery in reverse order. John

Or if you don’t want to get the car wet a long piece of rope

Also be wary of putting vehicle tyres on the wet if the slip is slimy, you can loose grip and it is sometimes best to use a rope as suggested.

Or wait for high tide if you can .

Only reason was we can’t put the car in the water as we have a Qashqai and the electrics go in the water

We used the ratchet straps haha. Just awkward with our Qashqai as water goes in the electrics
