Ranworth Breeze Lifted For Its Winter Service

Ranworth Breeze was lifted today for its Winter Service, it is currently in the old BMS workshop now run by NYA. Currently the boat is being compounded & polished to highlight any gelcoat repairs that need doing and the bathing platform rubbers are being replaced. A powered winch is being fitted and the heating replaced because of cracks in the heating casting made it too costly to repair.

Stop biting your nails Alan ;)

Putting a winch controlled from the helm was the best thing done to Orca.. Makes mudweighting and stern on moorings a breeze :) If you've not considering switching via the helm it's well worth the extra hassle (We put a chain counter switch too so makes it's even more easy).

I hope you are using Tom over at JPC for the heating works, he's the boat heating man and knows his stuff for sure, wouldn't use anyone else even down here.

Yes Tom is doing the work on the heating , he also supplied our new bow thruster last year.

Great minds think alike, Lightning is currently out of the water for her annual wash and brush up. She was brought out just before the high tides, so should be tucked up nice and warm in one of their sheds.

Must be that time of year. Mine is at the workshop tomorrow to have the engine and gearbox lifted out. Small oil leak from the drive shaft & new anti vibration mounts.

She has just come out of Rico’s  shed and is moored alongside us again. Looks immaculate.
