Ventilite / Tannoy / Mushroom Vents

I'm after some replacement plastic parts for several of these vents, but speaking to a couple of suppliers they seem to be quite hard to get hold of now as the manufacturer went bust last year and the new owner of the mouldings hasn't produced new ones yet because the tooling needs reworking to remove the 'ECS' from them.

Does anyone know a good source for these at a decent price? I'm led to believe they were cheaper but the old supply / demand situation has kicked in.

 

I don't seem to be able to buy from Aquafax without a trade account (either that or it's just a really bad website).

 

Norfolk Marine had one on the shelf complete with the stainless steel cover and wanted a shade over £50! Brian Wards and JPC don't seem to have them.

I have a couple of white covers if they are of use to you. I sold the boat to a dealer and these were in the lazerette so I kept them.

That's very kind of you, but it's the clear ones we're after as ours are fairly old and have gone yellow so don't let the daylight in like they used to.

That's fine. I bought them and never got round to fitting them. Ours were going yellow and brittle in the sun.

Well I'm not sure it'll be a night and day change? Just a nicer light..

It was Clive who noticed they looked crusty and suggested changing them.

I know what they look like- I tape over the Perspex bit in the kids bedroom so they don’t get up at first light :-)
