Clayrack Mill In Action

On the riverbank at How Hill, just North of the staithe are a couple of skeleton mills.

The first one you come to is Boardman's Mill and that has been there since the Boardman Family lived at How Hill. The other mill is Clayrack Mill and this is a rescued mill which was moved to this new location at How Hill. Sadly, there is not much left of Clayrack Mill at the moment, but until quite recently it used to run.

I have added a little film of Clayrack Mill operating in 2003 to the Ludham Archive website. You can see it on the following link (scroll down a bit). http://www.ludhamarchive.org.uk/videvent.htm

I hope this is of interest.
