Whilst I didnt' hire from them, Ray build my fathers' boat (an Elysian - Norfolk Spitfire - still on the Broads) in about 1971. I hired a Hampton (can't remember its name) solo from Royalls in the early 1980s 1975 got friendly with a family on Beaune a varnished forward steer woody from Bondons. I think a couple of years later they brought out the new Sancerre range, quite advanced for the time

Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app I could be wrong, it was a long time ago but think it was orange.
Captain
Hi, Currently on the Fens, loads of Broads boats around including atleast 6 Bondons Sancerres seen so far including 4 at St Neots alone. Plenty of Sheerlines, a new Starlight 24 apparently bought from a boat show, masses of Broom/Ocean 30's . Horizon 35 and old Broads boats Inc what looked like a Brinks 35 footer Bourne 35 Sorry off topic but I have never seen so many Sancerres in one place. I know there is one moored at Thurne (or used to be) but they do seem to have largely disappeared from the Broads. To the fens clearly!
Captain
Indeed, great looking boats particularly as they are upto 42 years old. What was the first boat I saw after typing the above at Holywell another Sancerre on the Goba mooring! Neil
