Don't know why but I am thinking of Rockland Staithe prior to the moorings being extended.

It is a bit before my time, so if the moorings aren't there now or have changed significantly, I'm buggered :default_biggrin:

Originally there was room for about 4 boats stern on.

The new moorings to the left have room for four or five visiting craft stern on. Next to them are the private moorings which are usually small craft.

Were the original moorings a village staithe and did they make the new private section available to locals only?
