outboard 9.8 mercury

hi

1 other question

I have just bought a mercury 9.8 2 stroke outboard and was wondering if anyone could tell me the year it was made, the serial number is

9028891 which i think is a '73-'74

any ideas

Hi Ian,

I purchased said beastie from Mark, though I have since "broken" it :cry

Its now in for repairs with CC Marine in beccles. 01502 713703. Colin, the proprietor is a Mercury expert having worked on them for 43 years.

When he saw min,e he correctly guessed its age/year without even a prompt from me. :bow

If you have any trouble with yours, I can throughly recommend him.
